Among the most humorous items is a complete set of 1967 Topps Krazy Little Comics (lot 78101), which includes 16 cards: Badman (CGC 5.5), The Bantam (CGC 6), Blunder Woman (CGC 6), Captive American (CGC 6), Fantastic Fear (CGC 5), The Flush (CGC 4), The Incredible Hunk (CGC 5), Jester's League of America (CGC 5.5), The Lone Rancher (CGC 5), Mandrain the Magician (CGC 5), Prince Violet (CGC 5.5), The Amusing Spider-Guy (CGC 5), Stuporman (CGC 5), Sub-Marine Man (CGC 4), Tarsam (CGC 6) and The Meekly Thaw (CGC 5.5).

Examples of some of these cards can also be found in a group of three 1967 Topps Krazy Little Comics (lot 78102) that includes a Stuporman (CGC 5), Jester’s League of America (CGC 5) and a Badman (CGC 3).

Created in 1967, the Krazy Little Comics set is a quirky and memorable attempt by Topps to parody popular comic book superheroes of the time, including Marvel and DC characters, in mini-comics with humorous and satirical twists. The comics were created by soon-to-be popular comic book creators such as Roy Thomas, Art Spiegelman and Wally Wood. According to the blog, ‘Tain’t the Meat … It’s the Humanity, Topps creators believed that the comics were satire and not subject to copyright law, so they were produced without the permission of Marvel, DC or King Features. Topps’ lawyers, however, had a different opinion, and the line was scrapped before it was officially released.
