Gotta Display ‘em All! CGC Trading Cards Registry Now Live
Posted on 4/20/2022
CGC Trading Cards™ is excited to announce that the CGC Trading Cards Registry is now live and ready for your Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering Cards! Online registries are popular and powerful tools that gamify collecting and provide inspiration, organization and recognition as collections are shared around the world. With the CGC Trading Cards Registry, TCG collectors will find a superior platform where they can display their CGC-certified cards and compete against other collectors to see who has the best sets.
The CGC Trading Cards Registry is the fourth major release from CGC Trading Cards in recent weeks, following a brand-new TCG-dedicated website, the CGC Trading Cards Population Report and grading services for Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. These important resources and new offerings are indicative of CGC Trading Cards’ commitment to providing superior tools and services for the TCG collecting community.
The CGC Trading Cards Registry has been designed to become the best online play space for TCG collecting. Starting with Pokémon and Magic cards, it’s easy and fun for collectors to add their CGC-certified cards to the CGC Trading Cards Registry in various set categories, such as Original Series, Neo Series, XY, Sun & Moon and Sword & Shield for Pokémon and First, Second and Third Stage, Creatures, Artist Series and Secret Lair Drop for Magic.
New set options will be continually added by CGC Trading Cards, so if a set doesn’t yet exist, collectors can simply submit a request for it to be added. Additional TCGs will also be added in the future, so stay tuned!
Collectors can also browse and update CGC Trading Cards Registry sets anytime, anywhere. Built with the latest technology to seamlessly resize on all devices, the CGC Trading Cards Registry can be used on a phone, tablet or desktop computer.
“The CGC Trading Cards Registry is a free, world-class digital collecting platform that represents the gamification of trading card collecting,” says Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of the Certified Collectibles Group, which includes CGC Trading Cards. “We are committed not only to offering the best grading services for trading cards but also to providing an online hub for TCG collectors.”
See how your cards compare to other collectors
It’s free and easy to participate in the CGC Trading Cards Registry. Collectors just need a free CGC membership. Not a member? Join now at CGCcards.com/Join >
After logging into CGCcards.com, it’s equally simple to add a card to the CGC Trading Cards Registry by clicking the yellow + symbol anywhere on the CGC Trading Cards website. Next, type in the card’s CGC certification number and click Add. You’ll then be prompted to select sets for your cards.
When a card is added to a set, it receives a point score based on its grade, relative rarity and value. These scores are then totaled, and the set is ranked against other sets based on their total scores. Top sets will be eligible for prizes and the recognition that comes with being the best.
To create the ultimate presentation, collectors also have the option to add images (either CGC Trading Cards images, which can be instantly added for free, or their own) as well as card descriptions. Through the sharing of stories, participating in the CGC Trading Cards Registry is a way to get inspired and inspire others.
“As a trading card collector, you better believe that I want to see the sets containing the most coveted cards that have passed through the grading room,” comments Matt Quinn, CGC Trading Cards Senior Grading Finalizer. “Online registries are one of the best parts about collecting in this day and age because you can see how your collection compares to others around the world.”
So what are you waiting for? Add your cards, display your sets, earn points and get recognition in the best online play space for trading card collecting.
