CSG Certifies White Sox Prospect Colson Montgomery Autograph Card
Posted on 6/2/2022
Each year, the Bowman Chrome set heralds the arrival of Major League Baseball’s future stars. Many will spend a few seasons in the minor leagues before making their professional debut, but that doesn’t stop collectors from grabbing their first Bowman cards. From the annual Bowman Chrome release, every prospect has the possibility to be the next Mike Trout, Clayton Kershaw or Albert Pujols.
Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) recently certified one such card from a top White Sox prospect. The 2022 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs #CPA-CMY Colson Montgomery SuperFractor earned a CSG Gem Mint 10 grade, with a 10 for the Autograph.
This card features Montgomery’s autograph across the front of the card and gold tinting around the edges. The SuperFractor parallel is a 1 of 1 for this set. Other autograph parallels include Red Lava, Orange, Green, Yellow, Atomic and more.
The 2022 Bowman Chrome set features autographs from 89 prospects, which is higher than previous releases. A few other prospects from this set include Joshua Baez, Bryan Acuna and Elly De La Cruz. Like Colson and so many others, they represent the future of Major League Baseball and the beginnings of some great personal collections.
Colson Montgomery was selected 22nd overall in the first round of the 2021 MLB Draft. Montgomery graduated from Southridge High School in Huntingburg, Indiana, where he led the Raiders to a state championship in 2021. Montgomery made his minor league debut with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers in April 2022. Just a few weeks into the season, Montgomery already had 17 runs on 25 hits, 2 home-runs, 15 RBIs and a .287 batting average.
