Team CGC Trading Cards Competing in 2022 Pokémon World Championships

Please join us in cheering on Team CGC Trading Cards as they make their way to London, England for the 2022 Pokémon World Championships later this month! The team will compete for return invitations, prizes and the title of Pokémon World Champions at the ExCel London events center on August 18-21.

Team CGC Trading Cards was assembled by Danny Oesterreich, and is comprised of seasoned players Daniel Altavilla, Azul Garcia Griego and Caleb Gedemer. The team first competed at the Secaucus Pokémon Regional Championships, at the Meadowland Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, on May 20-22. They competed again in the North America Pokémon Regional Championships at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in June, with Griego taking 10^th place overall.

In June, Griego took first in the North American International Championships at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio — the first North American competitor to do so! This secured the team’s entrance into the Day Two division of the Pokémon World Championships.
