CGC Trading Cards Certifies Pokémon Arcanine Error Card with Missing Print Layers

CGC Trading Cards™ recently certified a Pokémon Topps (1999) Arcanine First Print UK Edition Foil card with a spectacular print error. The front of the card is missing multiple layers of color, leaving a spectral black and white surface where the expected fiery color scheme, Arcanine design and silver foil covering should be. The card was graded CGC 7.5 with a Missing Print Layers error.

A Missing Print Layers error occurs when one or more of the print or holofoil layers is partially or completely missing from a card. In this instance, all of the color layers are missing, leaving a completely black and white surface where the colors should be. Missing Print Layer errors usually affect only one side of a card. In this example, only the front of the card was affected. The back of this Arcanine card has all of its normal layers.
