This week's Collect This! is a meeting at the intersection of collecting and investing with a veteran collector, who also happens to be a heavyweight financial expert.

Bain Capital Operating Partner Darren Herman joined Collect This! host Alan Goldsher for a chat about strategies to monetize your sports card collection.

“Darren Herman is a talented financial advisor and a lifelong card collector,” says Goldsher, “and his ability to break down facts and figures as it relates to card value is off the charts. He’s developed multiple strategies to make logical purchases, and how to handle said purchases moving forward.”

Goldsher continues, “Darren is also an NBA nut, and knows vintage hoops cards as well as anybody. Plus, he’s a great dude with whom I enjoy B.S.-ing about sports… even though he refused an invite to join my fantasy football league.”
