CGC Trading Cards Now Grading Disney Lorcana

CGC Trading Cards® is thrilled to announce the expansion of its expert authentication, grading and encapsulation services to include the Disney Lorcana trading card game!

Disney Lorcana is an upcoming TCG that invites players to rediscover their favorite Disney characters in both familiar and all-new art styles. Gameplay consists of a player building a team of their favorite Disney princesses, villains and other characters to “adventure” across The Great Illuminary, a magical world where the game takes place. More detailed mechanics will be revealed around the game’s release date in Fall 2023.

There are currently seven cards in circulation. These include a Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor promo that was given to attendees of the 2022 D23 Expo, and a six-card collectors set that was offered to the first 300 attendees each day of the expo. The six cards in the set feature a unique holofoil pattern and a “D23” stamp, neither of which will be included in the official release. These prerelease cards have already proved to be immensely popular with collectors, with sales on eBay averaging $2,000 and one October 3 sale even exceeding $4,500.
