The 2022 NBA Card Roundtable on the CSG Podcast, Collect This!

On the latest episode of CSG’s flagship podcast “Collect This!”, host Alan Goldsher is joined by trio of basketball card experts for a look at how on-court performance might impact hoops collectors.

“The correlation between what you see in the box scores and at card retail has always fascinated me,” Goldsher said. “Russell Westbrook could drop a quintuple-double, and you won’t see any noticeable movement in his card value. But if a rookie like Paolo Banchero scores 16 points during a pre-season game, suddenly his market goes bananas.”

Joined by in-the-know collectors Darren Herman (Bain Capital), Jake Roy (90s Bball Cards) and Jon the Basketball Card Guy, Goldsher believes this episode of Collect This! will prepare collectors for the upcoming season. “Darren, Jake and Jon did a fantastic job of telling us not only whose cards could be on the upswing, but why. They make strong cases for LeBron James and Luka Doncic cards to not only maintain their value, but make a slight climb. They also drop some surprise names like James Wiseman, Jamal Murray and, of all people, Thomas Bryant.”
