CSG Scouting Report: The Season of Receiving
Posted on 12/7/2022
The holiday season is about giving, however, this week’s CSG Scouting Report is all about receiving. Let’s look at the pass catchers that received a football-shaped gift thanks to their quarterbacks in Week 13.
Ask and You Shall Receive
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
St. Brown helped the Lions beat the Jacksonville Jaguars handily by scorching them for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders
Terry McLaurin led the Washington Commanders in receiving with 105 yards and a touchdown, keeping them in the playoff hunt as their contest against the New York Giants ended in a tie.
A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
A.J. Brown was facing his former team, the Tennessee Titans, and they sure missed him as he went for 119 yards and two scores in a convincing win.
Rookie Watch
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
Mr. Irrelevant! That is right: The very last pick in the draft took over for injured Jimmy Garoppolo and led the 49ers to a win by tossing 210 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons
The rookie running back only had 52 yards on the ground but appears to continue to gain an increasing role in the Atlanta Falcons offense.
