CSG-certified Giannis Antetokounmpo Autographed Rookie Card Scores in Recent PWCC Sale

Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) is collaborating with PWCC Marketplace to bring collectors weekly online auctions presented by PWCC and featuring sports cards graded by CSG. The popular program offers numerous sales from across the sports card market, which has garnered the interest of collectors in droves since the program debuted in 2022.

Among the top CSG-graded highlights in the March PWCC auctions is a 1984 Panini F1 Grand Prix Scratch N' Play Ayrton Senna graded CSG 8.5. This is the third straight month that the legendary Brazilian F1 driver's CSG-certified cards have been featured in the PWCC sales, but none are more popular or valuable than this particular rookie card.

Senna took the F1 world by storm in the 1980s and early 1990s, as he became a three-time World Drivers' Championship winner (1988, 1990, 1991). He took the checkered flag in a total of 41 Grands Prix and earned 65 pole positions during his career. However, in 1994, his already iconic career was cut short at the San Marino Grand Prix at only 34 years old when he died in a tragic accident during the race.

On February 12, 2023, a 2013-14 Panini Court Kings Fresh Paint Autographs #28 Giannis Antetokounmpo graded CSG 9, with the autograph graded CSG 10 sold for $1,650, which was the highest price realized by a CSG-certified card in the month of February. The Milwaukee Bucks power forward is one of the best big men in the NBA today. Nicknamed the "Greek Freak," Antetokounmpo is a two-time NBA MVP and seven-time All-Star who led the Bucks to the 2021 NBA Finals where they lifted the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.

On February 5, 2023, a 2003-04 Topps #221 LeBron James graded CSG Gem Mint 10 sold for $1,320. This is one of the most popular rookie cards of "King James," as the NBA icon continues to build on his already impressive pro legacy. Two days after the auction closed, the 38-year-old Los Angeles Lakers forward broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time NBA scoring leader record on February 7.

Additionally, a 2022 Panini Prizm World Cup International Ink #I-KM Kylian Mbappe graded CSG 9, with the autograph graded CSG 9, sold for $930 on February 12, 2023. At only 24 years old, Mbappe had already won the World Cup with France in 2018 as he led them back to the 2022 World Cup Final in Qatar before losing to Argentina. At such a young age, the Frenchman has already won more major trophies at the club and international levels than most star soccer players do in their entire careers.

On February 19, 2023, a 1951 Editrice Didasco Albosport #453 Juan Manuel Fangio graded CSG 1.5 sold for $930. Fangio was a race car driver from Argentina who dominated the early years of Formula One. Over the first decade of the sport in the 1950s, "El Maestro" won the World Drivers' Championship five times.
