Several Pokémon, Magic and Marvel Cards in the Highest CGC Grades Offered by Heritage Auctions

Several cards graded by CGC Trading Cards® that have earned either a CGC Perfect 10 or CGC Pristine 10 grade are being offered in an ongoing Heritage Auctions sale. Online bidding is already underway for the 2023 Gem Mint Trading Card Games Showcase Auction, which is set to end on April 27, 2023.

Leading the CGC-certified cards in the sale is a Dragonite, Pokémon (1999) Fossil 1st Edition Holo graded CGC Pristine 10 (lot 77040). This is one of seven examples graded CGC Pristine 10 in the CGC Trading Cards Population Report, with only one card graded higher.

Another interesting card in the sale is a Demonic Tutor, Magic: The Gathering (1993) Unlimited Edition graded CGC Pristine 10 with near-perfect subgrades (lot 77001). This is the highest-graded example in the CGC Trading Cards Population Report. Demonic Tutor was banned in several formats of MTG gameplay in 1994 and has not been unbanned in Legacy since the format was introduced.

Meanwhile, a Daredevil Vs. Bullseye, Marvel Universe Series 1 (1990) Impel Famous Battles graded CGC Perfect 10 with perfect subgrades (lot 77097) is also being featured in the sale. One of the Famous Battles cards from Marvel Universe Series 1, Daredevil Vs. Bullseye shows iconic artwork of the hero and villain facing off in New York, while the back explains the battle as it was illustrated in Daredevil #172 (1981). Marvel cards are now included in the CGC Trading Cards Population Report, with this being among the highest-graded examples in the set.

• a Force of Will, Magic: The Gathering (1996) Alliances Uncommon graded CGC Pristine 10 (lot 77002)
• a Volrath’s Stronghold, Magic: The Gathering (1998) Stronghold Rare graded CGC Pristine 10 (lot 77004)
• a Personal Tutor, Magic: The Gathering (1997) Portal Uncommon graded CGC Pristine 10 (lot 77003)
• a Silver Surfer Vs. Thanos, Marvel Universe Series 1 (1990) Impel Famous Battles graded CGC Pristine 10 (lot 77098)
