CGC Cards' Featured Sports Card Registry Set: Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Posted on 8/10/2023
With the All-Star break and Trade Deadline behind them, MLB teams are heading into the home stretch of the season, and 2023 Home Run Derby winner Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the focus of our featured set this month by Scoobyzombieking. Guerrero Jr. joins his Hall of Fame dad as the only father-son duo to ever win the Home Run Derby title. View this entire set here.
Guerrero Jr. plays for the Toronto Blue Jays as a first baseman and designated hitter. He made his Major League debut in April 2019 and is widely regarded as one of the best active hitters in baseball. In 2021, he led the majors in home runs (48, tied), runs scored (123) and total bases (363). The slugger was also voted to the AL All-Star roster in 2021 and voted MVP, the youngest player to win the honor in All-Star game history. With Guerrero Jr. helping to lead the way, the Blue Jays appear well positioned to make their third postseason appearance in the past four years.
