Cards Certified by CGC Cards Now Available on Alt

CGC Cards™ is thrilled to announce that Alt, a popular online platform for buying and selling TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards, is now accepting CGC-certified cards on its marketplace. With this partnership, collectors have another platform on which to confidently buy and sell CGC-certified cards.

“We’re excited to begin this partnership with Alt,” said Matt Quinn, Vice President of CGC Cards. “By expanding CGC Cards’ presence in the marketplace, we hope to give more collectors the chance to take advantage of CGC’s expert authentication, grading and encapsulation services.”

The first auction featuring CGC-certified cards will go live on October 2, 2023. The auction will predominantly feature Pokémon cards certified by CGC Cards, including this Shining Mewtwo, Pokémon (2002) Neo Destiny 1st Edition Error card graded CGC 9.5. Shining Mewtwo is incredibly rare, but this error card has misaligned text — an error that likely occurred due to an uncommon error where the cardstock was incorrectly fed into the printing machine. According to the CGC Cards Population Report, CGC Cards has graded just one Shining Mewtwo a CGC 9.5, with 15 graded higher.

Other CGC-certified cards in the auction include:

• a Charizard, Pokémon (2002) Legendary Collection Reverse Holo graded CGC 6.5
• a Pikachu, Pokémon (2021) Japanese Holo Pokémon Center Purchase Promo graded CGC 9.5
• an Articuno, Pokémon (1997) Japanese Mystery of the Fossils Holo graded CGC 9
