Dozens of CGC-certified Pokémon Cards Highlight Upcoming Catawiki Auction

A Metal Charizard certified by CGC Cards is turning heads in an upcoming Catawiki auction. The Charizard is just one of the dozens of CGC-certified cards being offered in Catawiki’s Pokémon Cards Auction (Catawiki x CGC) sale, which is set to end on March 1, 2024.

When Pokémon celebrated its 25^th anniversary in 2021, the Pokémon Company released a limited TCG boxed set: the Celebrations Ultra-Premium Collection. This set featured reprints of classic Pokémon cards from past series, 25 new cards, collectible items and two commemorative metal cards: Pikachu and Charizard.

In addition, a Poliwrath, Pokémon (2000) Base Set 2 Holo graded CGC Gem Mint 10 (lot 80153989) and a Regigigas, Pokémon (2008) Japanese 11th Movie Commemoration Holo graded CGC Pristine 10 (lot 80153561) are being offered in the sale. Poliwrath is a high-grade example of a rare holo from one of the Pokémon TCG’s earliest sets, while Regigigas is a rare Japanese promo from a limited set that was released to commemorate the release of Pokémon: Giratina and the Sky Warrior in Japanese theaters.
