David Nakayama Joins CGC Cards for an In-House Private Signing

CGC Cards™ is thrilled to announce that the Signature Series team will be hosting an exclusive In-House Private Signing event with comic book artist David Nakayama, known for his fan-favorite pencil and cover work for publishers such as Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Dynamite and Zenescope.

Nakayama was born in Hawaii and began his career in the comic industry when his first published work appeared in Star Wars Tales #17. Notably, Nakayama's artwork can be found in the 2018 Fleer Ultra X-Men as well as a few other trading card sets. Early in his career, he won Wizard Magazine's "Be The Next Top Cow Superstar" contest and relocated to Los Angeles, California where he went to work for Top Cow Productions under the tutelage of Marc Silvestri. Since then, Nakayama has gone on to work for many different publishers and has been a part of series such as Marvel Adventures: Hulk, Marvel Adventures: Spider-man, Daredevil, Venom, Spider-Gwen, X-Men, Ghost Rider, Black Panther, Poison Ivy, Red Sonja and Grimm Fairy Tales. Some of his recent work includes gorgeous covers on series like Thundercats, Wolverine: Revenge and Fall of the House of X.

CGC Cards must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, October 4, 2024.

If the In-House Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC Cards will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled.

After Nakayama signs the submitted cards, CGC Cards will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

The CGC Cards In-House Private Signing fee for David Nakayama is $65 per item and includes:

• David Nakayama’s signature
• Estimated turnaround time of six weeks for CGC Cards grading
• Encapsulation with the CGC Signature Series label

To submit cards for the signing:

• Log onto your account or sign up for an account HERE.
• Click Submit in the CGC Cards website navigation and select the Submission Form.
• Click on the link to the CGC Cards Online Form.
• Select Card or Jumbo Card from the menu, then select CGC SIgnature Series and one of the following from the dropdown menu section:
  DAVID NAKAYAMA, SIGNATURE.
• Select "Authentication and Grading" under Select Primary Service.
  
• Select "Mail-In or Show Drop-Off" under Select Submission Method.
• Enter the information requested for your card.
• Select Add to Cart, and then repeat if there are additional cards in your submission. If there are no additional cards in your submission, click on the cart icon and proceed to checkout.
• Carefully package cards in a box for shipment. 
• IMPORTANT: Please write DN on all sides of the outside of the box. You must initial outside of the box or we will not be able to honor the submission for this signing.
• Cards will be received into the CGC Cards system when they arrive and will be safely stored by CGC Cards until the event. (Please note: Payments are processed as they normally are at the time of the collectibles' arrival at CGC.)
• Once cards are signed they will start an expedited CGC Cards grading process.

PLEASE NOTE:

All submissions must be received by CGC Cards no later than Friday, October 4, 2024, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Friday, October 4, 2024.

Membership credits cannot be applied to CGC Private Signings.

**If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade.
