CGC and JSA Accepting Submissions at the Chicago Sports Spectacular!

Posted on 9/19/2024

Submit your cards, comics, video games, home video collectibles and memorabilia at the show in Rosemont, Illinois, on November 22-24, 2024!

CGC® and JSA® are excited to be accepting submissions of sports cards, trading card games and non-sports cards, comics, magazines, video games, home video collectibles and memorabilia at the Chicago Sports Spectacular, being held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, on November 22-24, 2024.

The Chicago Sports Spectacular is one of the Midwest's most popular conventions for buying, selling and trading sports and non-sports memorabilia and collectibles. Bringing together collectors and vendors from across the country, the bi-annual convention is held in the Chicago area every November and March, with an occasional smaller summer show added. The November 2024 convention will have more than 400 tables for visitors to browse, and several well-known athletes, Hollywood stars and TV personalities will be available for photo opportunities and to sign autographs.

In addition, CGC and JSA representatives will be accepting submissions, answering questions and providing information on collectibles certification and autograph authentication services. Bring your favorite collectibles to the convention to take advantage of fast turnaround times and save one way on shipping fees! Further instructions on the submission process are below.

Preparing submissions for the show

CGC is accepting submissions of sports cards, TCGs, non-sports cards, comic books, video games and home video collectibles for grading. Autographed cards and comics may be submitted for CGC x JSA Authentic Autograph certification, and autographed memorabilia may be submitted for JSA-only services. Please note that JSA is no longer accepting cash as payment for autograph services.

To spend more time enjoying the show, submit your prepared collectibles through the Express Drop-off Service, which enables you to skip the line and quickly hand off your submission to a CGC representative.

To streamline submissions at the show, please take the following steps before arriving:

  1. Become a CGC member here. All it takes is a free account to submit, and paid members get additional discounts and benefits.
  2. Go to the online submission form for cards, comics, video games or home video.
  3. Select “Mail-In or Show Drop-Off” to start your submission. Please note that you have the option to choose JSA autograph authentication after choosing your primary grading services.
  4. Complete the submission form and print the packing slips.
  5. Important: To ensure that your submission process stays on schedule, please place your collectibles in the order listed on the packing slip. Please bring BOTH copies of the packing slip with your collectibles to the show drop-off. Failure to do so will result in delays.

  6. Keep your collectibles safe and secure until you drop off your submission (including the packing slip) with a representative.
  7. Go to the Express Drop-off sign to finalize your submission.

All submissions will be transported to CGC’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, for authentication, grading and encapsulation.
