CGC Cards Now Grading K-pop Cards; Accepting DPR IAN, CREAM and ARTIC

CGC Cards™ is thrilled to announce that it is expanding its expert grading, authentication and encapsulation services to include K-pop cards, beginning with Collector Society Seoul's DPR IAN and other popular artists!

K-pop cards — also known as photocards or PCs — are photos of Korean popular music idols that are typically included in albums and booster packs. Many of these photo cards are smaller than other TCGs and sports cards — roughly 5.5 x 8.5 cm — so storage options for them are limited. Many K-pop card collectors are forced to store their cards in sleeves that are too big, or to purchase specific K-pop card sleeves and albums.

Fortunately, CGC Cards’ state-of-the-art holder accommodates cards of many different sizes, including smaller-than-average cards. Some K-pop cards will require encapsulation with a protective sleeve because of their smaller size. If a card needs a protective sleeve in order to be safely encapsulated, CGC Cards will use one.

About DPR IAN

CGC Cards will begin accepting submissions of K-pop cards from certain artists, starting with DPR IAN. A popular singer, rapper and director, Christian Yu — known professionally as DPR IAN — began performing at a young age and, after moving to South Korea, became a K-pop idol while leading the K-pop group C-Clown. After the group disbanded, DPR IAN co-founded Dream Perfect Regime (DPR), which includes artists such as DPR CREAM and DPR ARTIC.

How to submit K-pop cards

In 2024, DPR hosted the DREAM REBORN world tour. To coincide with the tour, Collectors Society Seoul (CSS) released the DPR World Tour 2024 Seoul Edition set of K-pop cards featuring DPR’s artists. These limited-edition cards include two rarities — normal and relic — and come in extremely limited quantities. These cards, including those featuring DPR IAN, ARTIC and CREAM, will be eligible for grading, authentication and encapsulation by CGC Cards at launch.

Collectors in Asia can submit K-pop cards to CGC Cards’ offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
