CGC Grades No. 4 Trainer from the 2025 Pokémon World Championships
Posted on 10/20/2025
Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) recently certified a No. 4 Trainer from the 2025 Pokémon World Championships event, an example of a just-issued rarity from one of the world’s most popular media franchises. It earned a grade of CGC Pristine 10 and is the only example in the CGC Cards Population Report.
The 2025 Pokémon World Championships took place in Anaheim, California, on August 15-17. Over the weekend, hundreds of thousands of Pokémon fans gathered to battle it out in a variety of Pokémon media platforms, including video games, Pokémon GO and the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The Pokémon TCG Championships are split into three divisions: Junior, Senior and Masters. Each division recognizes the top 8 contenders, with each receiving prizes and recognition as the top of their leagues. The No. 1 through No. 4 winners of each league receive a numbered Trainer card featuring Pikachu, which has text that celebrates their victory and invites them back to next year’s World Championships event.
This is the only numbered Trainer card from the 2025 World Championships that CGC has certified, as of October 2025. However, CGC has certified more than 100 numbered trainers across the history of the Pokémon World Championships and its predecessors, including some of the earliest numbered trainers from the First Official Tournament in 1999.
