It’s a record! A never-released One Piece promo graded CGC Pristine 10 realized an impressive $315,600 in an Alt auction on December 4, 2025, blowing the previous record for the highest-selling One Piece card out of the water. The promo was just one of the many CGC-certified cards offered on Alt’s auction platform, which hosts new auctions every week.
The 2023 One Piece Card Game World Finals marked the first world championship event for the One Piece TCG. Released just a year before, the One Piece TCG immediately became a hot topic when its first set — Romance Dawn — hit store shelves in 2022. Right away, players began building powerful decks and competing for a chance to win fame and glory in local tournaments, knowing that a world championship event would be announced in the future. Green Zoro, Black Imu and Red/Blue Ace dominated early competitions, and many world championship decks featured fan-favorite cards.
Upon announcing the World Finals global tournament event, Bandai announced that the first-, second- and third-place winners of the Finals would receive a special Monkey D. Luffy promo card in one of three languages: English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The card would be gold, silver or bronze, depending on the winner’s placement.
The first-place winner of the 2023 One Piece World Finals tournament was GuanRong Kuik from Malaysia. He received the gold Monkey D. Luffy promo… in Japanese. The second- and third-place winners also received a silver and bronze Monkey D. Luffy, respectively, but the gold English Monkey D. Luffy was never distributed at the event.
Eventually, a collector was able to obtain this English Monkey D. Luffy, One Piece (2024) Tournament Promos – OP05-119 2023 Championship World Finals – Gold card and sent it to CGC for grading, where it earned a CGC Pristine 10. The card went up for sale on Alt, where it realized the record price.
