Posted on 1/8/2026
Calling all Pokémon trainers, collectors and enthusiasts! Goldin Auctions is starting 2026 off with a bang by offering dozens of rare and high-value Pokémon cards, with CGC-certified highlights including several numbered trainer cards from the Pokémon World Championships, many of which are Top Pops or the sole graded examples in the CGC Cards Population Report. Online bidding for the 2026 Pokémon & TCG Auction is already underway, with the auction set to end on February 15, 2026.
The top CGC-certified lot in the sale is a complete set of four No. 1-4 Trainers, Pokémon (2014) Pokémon World Championships promos, with the No. 3 Trainer graded CGC Pristine 10 and the others graded CGC Gem Mint 10 (lot 7). These exclusive trainer cards were only given out to the top finishers at the 2014 invitational Pokémon World Championships tournament held in Washington D.C. Furthermore, these were the first “full art” Trainer promos to be featured as prizes. Just one of these numbered trainer cards is a grail for any collector, but a full set of No. 1-4 Trainers is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This lot has a starting price of $50,000.
Meanwhile, a No. 1 Trainer, Pokémon (2011) Pokémon World Championships promo graded CGC Gem Mint 10 (lot 33) has a starting bid of $25,000. The Pokémon TCG Championships are split into three divisions: Junior, Senior and Masters. The No. 1 winners of each division received one of these No. 1 Trainer cards, representing both their prize and an invitation to compete in the 2012 World Championship event. CGC has certified three examples of this 2011 No. 1 Trainer, each graded CGC Gem Mint 10 according to the CGC Cards Population Report.
