CGC Now Grading Trading Card Games Full-time in Hong Kong

CGC® is thrilled to announce that it is now certifying trading card games (TCGs) on a full-time basis at its office in Hong Kong, China! The enhanced services mean that TCG submissions will no longer be shipped to CGC headquarters in Florida, USA, keeping cards closer to home for Hong Kong collectors.

CGC began offering its industry-leading grading services for cards at its Hong Kong office in May 2024. Ever since, growing numbers of collectors and dealers throughout the region have entrusted their favorite cards to CGC because of our affordable prices, fast turnaround times, and the best holder in the hobby!

Full-time TCG grading in Hong Kong will be conducted by a team consisting of card graders who have relocated from CGC operations elsewhere, in addition to locally trained talent. This team ensures that CGC's grading stays consistent with its global standards while also recognizing China's card expertise and the nuances of the thriving card collecting hobby in Asia.

CGC uses expert graders, advanced technology, and operational excellence to provide collectors with accurate, consistent, affordable, and fast certification services. Every card certified by CGC is preserved in a crystal-clear holder and backed by an industry-leading guarantee of authenticity and grade.

Nearly 20 million cards have already been certified since CGC’s card grading service was established by the Certified Collectibles Group in July 2020. Founded in 1987, the Certified Collectibles Group encompasses the global brands of NGC, PMG, CGC, JSA, and ASG, each of which is a leader in its category.

Separate from full-time TCG grading at its Hong Kong office, CGC will also continue to host on-site grading events in conjunction with certain trade shows in the region, such as the Asia Super Collectors Convention (ASCC) in Macau, happening October 9-11, 2026. On-site grading provides an even faster turnaround time for customers who have requested the special service before or during events. Shows that include CGC on-site grading, like ASCC, and any submission deadlines will be announced on our website and social media accounts, so stay tuned!

Only TCGs are currently graded on a full-time basis in Hong Kong, and there is no additional fee for the local grading. Submissions of sports cards, non-sports cards, and mixed orders of TCGs with other cards will continue to be shipped with insurance to CGC’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. After grading, these submissions are shipped back to the Hong Kong office (again with insurance) to be returned to submitters. For a list of cards that CGC grades, go here.
