“The market is amazing for sports cards right now,” Broome said. “I’ve been professionally grading cards for 22 years and things are moving very fast. It is important that card collectors slow down and do their research before spending money. It is very easy to get taken advantage of with the market so hot.”

Broome was interviewed by Ian Beckles and Jay Recher, afternoon hosts on Tampa Bay’s Sports Radio WDAE-620 AM and 95.3 FM. He shared the most famous card he has ever graded — a T206 Honus Wagner — and described how collectors and dealers alike have more educational and pricing resources at their disposal than ever before.

He also discussed the upcoming CSG Academy, which will focus on grading skills, as well as CSG’s hiring push.

“We are expanding seeking to fill many different positions,” Broome said. “We want people who are enthusiastic and detail-oriented with the highest integrity to join our team as we become the leader in the sports card grading industry. ”
