CCG Promotes Quinn and Broome to VP

The Certified Collectibles Group® (CCG®) is pleased to announce the promotions of Matt Quinn and Andy Broome. Matt Quinn has been promoted to Vice President of CGC Trading Cards™, and Andy Broome has been promoted to Vice President of Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®). Prior to their promotions, both served as Senior Grading Finalizers, instrumental to the launches of CGC Trading Cards and CSG.

CGC Trading Cards is the division of Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) devoted to grading Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and other popular trading card games. Since launching in July 2020, CGC Trading Cards has already graded more than 1.5 million cards, including a Pokémon Test Print Blastoise card that realized $360,000 — a record for an English Pokémon card.

CSG launched in February 2021 and is on the brink of grading 1 million cards. When it does, it will be the fastest that any grading service has hit that milestone. Among the incredible cards that CSG has already graded are a 1952 Topps #261 Willie Mays card graded CSG 8 that’s worth well into the six figures, and a #111 LeBron James rookie card from the 2003-04 Topps Chrome Refractor set that sold for over $98,000 after being graded by CSG.

Matt Quinn

Matt Quinn began his professional career in the numismatic industry nearly two decades ago, and was hired by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®), the CCG company dedicated to grading banknotes, in 2019 as a Grading Finalizer. When Quinn learned of CCG’s interest in entering the trading card space, he quickly became immersed in making it a reality.

Quinn’s creation of business relationships was crucial to the development of CGC Trading Cards, while his commitment, passion and expert knowledge of collectibles has helped CGC Trading Cards garner trust and rapport with collectors.

“It has been so rewarding to be part of the inception and development of CGC Trading Cards,” Quinn said. “CCG’s rapid growth is exciting, and I look forward to what is to come.”

Andy Broome

Andy Broome’s fascination with sports cards began with a gas station pack of 1983 Topps baseball cards. He now has a storied career of over two decades as a professional sports card grader, including being involved in the creation of the card exhibit at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Broome was hired by CSG in 2020 to build and train its grading team.

Broome is not only an expert in sports cards, but also an enthusiastic and effective leader. The collector focus and integrity that Broome has demonstrated since joining CCG have been notable and welcome additions to the company.
