CSG Scouting Report: Signal Callers Breaking Records
Posted on 11/8/2022
Records are made to be broken, and that is exactly what these NFL Quarterbacks did in Week 9. The CSG Scouting report looks at three signal callers that broke records.
Record-quashing QBs
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
Even though it was a losing effort, no one was more electrifying than Fields against the Miami Dolphins. Despite the Dolphins’ head coach telling Fields to stop, he continued to terrorize the Dolphins defense with his legs, rushing for a QB-record 178 yards, not to mention four total touchdowns.
Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
What records are even left for this legend to break? On Sunday, Brady became the first quarterback to pass for 100,000 yards in their career. Check out this guide to learn more about Tom Brady rookie cards.
Patrick Mahomes II, Kansas City Chiefs
A record that was less noticeable, yet still very impressive was Mahomes racking up 446 yards through the air and a touchdown, as well as 60 yards on the ground and a touchdown, making him the first player to do so in the Super Bowl era.
Rookie Watch
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This rookie tight end hauled in the game winner in the final seconds as Tom Brady and company engineered an epic comeback against the Los Angeles Rams.
Sauce Gardner, New York Jets
He’s making a second appearance on the CSG Scouting report because how can one not watch the Sauce. Facing Josh Allen and the Bills, Sauce grabbed an interception and had the game-sealing pass deflection as the Jets beat the Bills 20-17.
