CGC Trading Cards Grades Marvel Metal Universe 1/1 Ghost-Spider

CGC Trading Cards® recently certified a very rare 1/1 Ghost-Spider from the 2022 Spider-Man Metal set. The Ghost-Spider, Marvel (2022) Metal Universe Spider-Man #28 Light FX - Purple received a grade of CGC 9.5, with sub-grades of 10 for Centering, 9.5 for Surface, 9.5 for Corners and 10 for Edges.

Instead of Peter Parker, Earth-65’s Gwen Stacy picks up the mantle of “Spider-Woman” after being bitten by a radioactive spider. She appears under the nickname “Spider-Gwen” in the hit 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse alongside Miles Morales and other Spiders from alternate worlds. In the comics, Gwen is eventually caught up in an explosion and thought dead. Upon her return, Morales wonders if she is a ghost, bequeathing her the new nickname “Ghost-Spider.”

Upper Deck’s 2022 Marvel Metal Universe set has a total of 200 cards featuring iconic Marvel characters. All of these cards have different colored parallels, each with their own denominations. Purple Light FX parallels are the rarest of them all — each card only has one Purple Light FX print, and they can only be physically pulled out of hobby boxes — so they are incredibly valuable to collectors.

The CGC Trading Cards experts have graded thousands of cards from the 2022 Marvel Metal Universe set, including rarities such as a Miles Morales Precious Metal Gems Green parallel graded CGC 9.
