Recently, CGC Cards received a submission of one of Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry's most popular and valuable rookie cards that is also signed and inscribed by the four-time NBA champion. The collector with the famous rookie card that shows a close-up portrait of a young Curry smiling ear to ear was able to obtain an autograph from the 10-time All-Star, and he didn't disappoint. Curry not only signed his name and No. 30 jersey number in blue ink, but he also inscribed his "Baby Faced Assassin" nickname to the card.

Most NBA fans think of "Chef Curry" when it comes to Steph's nicknames, but "Baby Faced Assassin" has been around much longer. The amusing nickname that references his unassuming, youthful looks and killer instincts on the court dates to his time in grade school when one of his coaches came up with the moniker. The nickname is a playful addition to his signature that pairs perfectly with the boyish image of Curry on his Topps rookie card, while also adding even more value to an already highly coveted card.

The Warriors superstar revolutionized the sport upon entering the league because of his emphasis on shooting three-pointers with incredible consistency. The league followed, with players becoming more and more focused on long-range shooting. Curry's game-changing style of play helped lead the Warriors to four NBA titles in an eight-season span, making them one of the most successful franchises of the 21st century.

Curry is also one of the most decorated athletes of his generation, with two NBA MVPs, one NBA Finals MVP, 10 All-Star selections, two NBA scoring titles and more to his name. In 2021, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and looks to be a lock as a future inductee to the Basketball Hall of Fame.

With the launch of CGC x JSA services for cards, collectors can now submit autographed sports cards, non-sports cards and TCGs for signature authentication by JSA and certification and encapsulation by CGC Cards in one seamless solution.
