A Host of Super Bowl-bound Stars Featured on CSG-certified Cards

One of sports’ biggest annual events is finally here — the Super Bowl. This year, it’s the Cincinnati Bengals versus the Los Angeles Rams. In their third appearance, the Bengals hope to win their first franchise Super Bowl, while the Rams seek their second Super Bowl win in five appearances. Many feel that the teams are equally matched, and the game promises to be an exciting one.

Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) has certified several cards, including the following six autograph cards, featuring players from both teams. While this is not an exhaustive list, CSG is highlighting a few of the names that you will likely hear during Sunday’s big game.

Cincinnati Bengals

CSG certified this 2017 Panini Prizm Rookie Autographs #RA-JM Joe Mixon Green Scope variant a Mint 9, with a 10 for the autograph. A second round draft pick from the University of Oklahoma, he finished the regular season with 1,205 rushing yards on 292 attempts and 13 touchdowns.

CSG certified this 2021 Leaf Ultimate Draft Ultimate Weapon #UW-JMC Ja’Marr Chase Gold a Mint 9, with a 10 for the autograph. The card is a short print numbered 19 of 50. Ja’Marr Chase was a first round draft pick from Louisiana State University. He finished the regular season with 1,455 receiving yards on 81 receptions and 13 touchdowns.

CSG certified this 2020 Panini Contenders Optic Rookie Ticket Autographs #101 Joe Burrow Red a Gem Mint 9.5, with a 10 for the autograph. The card also received sub-grades of 10 for Centering, 9.5 for Corners and Edges and 9 for Surface. Joe Burrow was a first round draft pick in the 2020 draft from Louisiana State University. He finished this season strong: 4,611 passing yards on 520 attempts with 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Early in the season, CSG shared a story about a variant of this card. Check it out here.

Los Angeles Rams

CSG certified this 2014 Topps Chrome Rookie Autographs #175 Aaron Donald a Gem Mint 9.5, with a 10 for the autograph. The defensive tackle from Pittsburgh was a first round pick in the 2014 NFL draft and the 13th overall pick. Donald finished this season with 12.5 sacks, 38 solo tackles and four forced fumbles.

CSG certified this 2020 Panini Encased Autographs #95 Cooper Kupp a Gem Mint 9.5, with a 10 for the autograph. This card is a short print numbered 15 of 20. Cooper Kupp was a third round draft pick in 2017 from Eastern Washington University. He finished the regular season with 1,947 receiving yards on 145 receptions and 16 touchdowns.

CSG certified this 2009 SP Authentic Rookie Super Patch Autographs #RSPMS Matthew Stafford a NM/Mint+ 8.5, with a 10 for the autograph. The card also received sub-grades of 9 for Centering, 8 for Corners, 9 for Edges and 9.5 for surface. The card is a short print numbered 17 of 99, and features a piece of material signed by Stafford, who was the first overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He finished this season with 4,886 passing yards on 601 attempts with 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
