CGC Cards Registry Featured Set: All Enchanteds

Posted on 10/11/2024

SuiGenerisGames' All the Enchanteds! set in the CGC Cards Registry is nearly complete and only includes cards graded CGC 9.5 or higher.

Disney Lorcana has taken the world by storm since it was released in late 2023. The immersive TCG has delighted fans with its easy-to-learn gameplay, large competitive scene and, of course, card collectability. Lorcana cards come in six different rarities, with the rarest and most valued cards coming in the form of Enchanted cards: beautiful, borderless full-art cards adorned with the signature Lorcana “inkwash” foil pattern. Players have a very slim chance of pulling the elusive Enchanted cards from a pack.

So far, Disney Lorcana includes more than 60 Enchanted cards across its five released sets, with even more due in Azurite Sea, which releases in November 2024. Some hardcore collectors have chosen to collect every Disney Lorcana Enchanted card, including SuiGenerisGames. His All the Enchanteds! Registry set is 85% complete and includes cards graded CGC 9.5 or higher.

We caught up with SuiGenerisGames to talk about his set and the CGC Cards Registry. Check out the Q&A below!

Q&A with the Set Owner, SuiGenerisGames

How did you become interested in collecting Disney Lorcana cards?

I’ve been playing and collecting Magic: The Gathering since 1994, so I’ve been familiar with TCGs for most of my life. I’ve equally been a big Disney fan since early childhood, particularly during the Disney Renaissance (1989-1999). When I found out they were releasing a Disney TCG, my interest was definitely piqued. However, getting your hands on the first wave of Lorcana products was challenging, so I took a wait-and-see approach.

Then, my friend Anastasya Uskov did a live opening of a Lorcana: The First Chapter booster box on Discord. She was going through the back of the packs slowly when she caught a peek of a card and started shaking. She revealed an Enchanted Elsa – Spirit of Winter in a state of euphoric disbelief! The feeling of simply watching her open this beautiful card and her genuine reaction of pure joy was intoxicating.

And so, I started collecting Lorcana to join that feeling and share it with my kids. The journey has been both nostalgic and magical.

What is your favorite card in this set?

This is a tough one because many of them hold a special place in my heart. Belle was the first Enchanted I ever opened, and also my first foray into musical theater when I was cast in Beauty and the Beast in fifth grade. Meanwhile, Tinker Bell has the best art from The First Chapter, in my opinion. And we all know too well about the Elsa effect…

However, the clear answer is my Enchanted Cinderella – Ballroom Sensation, because it was opened by my 9-year-old daughter. It was an absolutely wild experience that I can still picture vividly and will cherish forever. What’s even crazier is that she also opened a Rare Cindy in the same pack!

And I think we can all agree that it is the perfect card illustration to be showcased with the CGC Pristine 10 label.

What card do you most want to add to this set?

I am definitely chasing an Enchanted Ariel – Sonic Warrior in CGC Pristine 10 condition for this Registry set. For all the reasons! Not only is she another iconic princess from the Disney Renaissance — and the highly anticipated chase card from Ursula’s Return — but my daughter is also now into musical theater and was cast as Ariel right around the same time as the set’s release.

What other collecting goals are you working on?

I still collect and play Magic: The Gathering and just finished my graded Revised Dual Lands set, including a gorgeous Volcanic Island in CGC 10 Pristine condition. I will continue working on my Unlimited Dual Lands and Power 9 sets, which are coming along slowly but surely. I also really enjoy collecting Limited Edition promos and random cards with beautiful art. My favorite is probably the Magic x Duel Monsters Serra Angel promo.

How has the CGC Cards Registry helped with your collecting goals?

To be honest, I would not have my up-to-date collection without the motivation of filling every available spot in several of the CGC Cards Registry sets. It started with a handful of graded Enchanteds… then they all had to be Gem Mint 10… then a few grades came back as CGC Pristine 10, so now they clearly all have to be graded CGC Pristine 10.

I won’t stop until I have all the Enchanteds!
